In this page of the site, we have our friends, who, although they are no longer living at the orphanage, are still very much in our thoughts and prayers... Abrac still assists in the lives of many outside the project, supporting many families of the children an young people they have looked after...

Some of Tia Ge's children.  Referred to as an Auntie by the children.  She comes back to help at Abrac, making food and helping with the clothes, regularly throughout the week.  Here are her four youngest children.

Three members of a family that have previously lived with us and have now returned to the care of their mother.  Abrac continues to support the family where possible.

Adriana on the right, with Andiara, a former member of Abrac.  She now lives by herself in her own flat and works a good job.  She is the one of the examples of young people coming out at eighteen and being able to live and provide for themselves.  This area needs a lot of work in the future, to help the young people mature and understand what it is to live outside the institution.  Hopefully, in the future, people like Andiara can help educate other in this process.

There are those young people who have reached the age of 18, and can struggle.  Douglas and his brother, Diego are very hard working, honest young men, but like every one of us, they need prayer and support.  It is very difficult for those that are 18, leaving the instution.  As we search for an answer, pray that God will continue to guide the work in Abrac.  Everyday is a struggle for so many, emotionally, spiritually and financially.  Abrac is an institution that only gets by by the grace of God and the charity of others.  Keep everyone and everything in your prayers...
